Historic St. Luke’s Restoration dba St. Luke’s Historic Church & Museum provides an opportunity for employees to enrich and develop their love of public history while contributing their specific skills and talents to the mission of this national historical landmark, historic district, and patriotic shrine. Our 43-acre site has an on-going call for part-time museum interpreters. If you feel your skills and passions are suitable for our needs, please contact Todd Ballance, Executive Director, firstname.lastname@example.org with your credentials and interest. Our greatest need is weekend coverage.
St. Luke’s Historic Church & Museum interprets the early American pursuits of religious freedom and separation of church and state as imbued in the 1st Amendment of U.S. Constitution. SLHC&M stewards and exhibits the church building, local artifacts, and stories that are important in explaining the Site’s place in U.S. history. Museum Interpreters provide world-class experiences for international and domestic audiences at our 43-acre, 17th-century historic site and Virginia’s Oldest Church Building.
